My Nephew was about to turn 3 and as a broke 16 year old I didn’t have the money to buy him something as cool as he deserved. At the time he was very into Scooby-Doo and I decided to make him Brownies in the shape and frosted like Scoob. It was my 1st attempt and was a lot of fun. The next year came by and I was in a similar situation so I asked him what kind of cake he wanted and he was stuck on a clown cake for whatever reason so that’s just what he got. Now we are 11 years after that 1st Scooby Doo and I’ve made him a cake every year aligning with his interests and learned a bit along the way.

Now that you know how the cakes got started let me tell you a little about me. I come from a construction background. Fresh out of high school I started learning the trade and worked toward starting my own business. As Time went by my dad and I were confident that we could start our own residential construction company so in 2014 we started our company. The business grew over the years though my desire to find something I loved never left and in 2022 I realized that my passion was baking cakes and it was time to make a change.

In Mid 2022 my Wife and I decided to Sell our house in Newberg, OR, liquidate my business and move to the beautiful state of Florida. November of 2022 We arrived and soon after Jake N’ Bake Cakes LLC was formed. I absolutely love chasing my passion of baking and designing cakes and love improving my skills with each and every one. We offer custom themed cakes, cupcakes and cake pops.

Most importantly, I am a follower of Jesus and understand it is through him that I have been blessed to have this life!
